The Easter Bunny paid a visit April 19 to the Cherryhill Township Fire Station and left plenty of eggs, baskets full of candy, awesome prize drawings and boys and girls bikes size 12, 16 and 20.
Similar to a basket raffle, children received tickets during registration they could place in a drawing for over 70 additional toy prizes. Once registered the Easter Bunny was available for family pictures, the Engine House was open for kids and parents to touch a truck and visit the fire station. The hunt for eggs began at 11:00 am and after words kids exchanged their eggs for Easter baskets full of goodies. The prize drawings were held with the grand finale the bikes winner were announced.
The Easter Egg Hunt was coordinated by social members Becky Zemlock, Deb Cover and Connie Ringler with assistance from social members Deb Blystone, Russ McDivitt, Timmy Marsh, Jess Patterson, Ed Lutman, Edna Lutman, the Watson Family, the Zemlock Family and firefighters Jody Rainey, Brian Keith, Isaac Foreback, Dave Wyne, Bill Cochran, Dan Silvis and Sandy Silvis. Bike donations were made by Cherryhill Safety Services, the Zemlock Family and Larry Henry. We thank these members for helping make the annual hunt special in so many ways. Cherryhill Fire also appreciates the 91 children and their families that came out to participate in this annual event. It is heartwarming to see the smiles and memories made with those within our community.
