The Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Company stationed in Penn Run, announces their Fall Fund Drive Campaign has begun.

The fire company is earmarking the campaign funds toward the 5 percent grant match requirement for the company's recent award of a Assistance to Firefighters Grant award of $150,000 to replace outdated Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA).

The grant specifically will equip Cherryhill Fire with 21 SCBA backpack harnesses, 21 mask and 42 breathable air cylinders. This equipment will provide respiratory protection for Cherryhill firefighters in oxygen deficient environments.

Any excess funds from the Fund Drive Campaign will be utilized to help pay debt service toward the new Engine House.
