The Indiana County Fire Chiefs Association Community service scholarship is open and will close Match 28, 2025. The purpose of the Indiana County Fire Chiefs Association Community Service Scholarship is to provide two $500 scholarships to students who strengthen our local communities though a commitment to community service. Although slight preference is given to applicants who serve their community through volunteerism with an Indiana County fire Chiefs Association affiliated department, all who give service to their communities through the church, civic clubs or other community organization are encourage to apply. Community service minded high school seniors and non-traditional students pursuing a 4-year degree program, 2-year degree or professional certification program, trade or technical skill certification program EMT or Paramedic Program. Eligible applicants must reside within the primary service district of a fire department who is a member of the Indiana County Fire Chiefs Association. Listing of member departments are listed on the sample application attached below. The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies administers this grant.
