On January 26, twenty Cherryhill Township Firefighters completed certification training to the standards of the American Heart Association. Firefighters were trained on a variety of topics such as maintaining an airway, breathing and circulation of patients, bleed control using a tourniquet, patient positioning for traumatic and non-traumatic injuries, C-Spine mobilization, considerations for patients experiencing shock, heart attack, stroke, diabetic episode, and hyperthermia. Firefighters reviewed a variety of equipment on their rigs and practiced a variety patient packaging techniques.

Cherryhill Firefighters successfully earning certification include Fire Chief Jody Rainey, Assistant Chief John Rainey, Assistant Chief Jr. Sabo, Captain Vinny Mutz, Captain Nathan Rainey, Captain Bob Zack Jr, Firefighters Bill Cochran, Dan Silvis, Sandy Silvis, Emily Miller, Dave Wyne, Isaac Foreback, Bre Dixon, Chris Brady, Faith Johns, Ben Mutz, Julian Shultz, Jim Miller and Jim Sadler.
