The Cherryhill Township Fire Company recently received and placed in service three new firefighting coats and pant sets. The funds to secure the new equipment was made possible from a grant from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
Jody Rainey, Fire Chief and Treasurer of Cherryhill Fire Company commented " we are grateful to the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies and the donors who made this grant possible." Firefighter safety is our highest priority and to provide the equipment necessary to keep firefighters safe is costly , without funding opportunities provided by those such as the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies our firefighters would be a greater risk volunteering to protect our community with substandard equipment."
Cherryhill Township Fire Company encourages regional donors to investigate ways they can contribute to assist the many projects that the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies supports that enhance public safety, recreation, the arts and other areas that are critical to the continued development of our region and communities. |
