| On December 14, eighteen members of the Cherryhill Township Fire Company completed recertification in CPR, AED, and First Aid. During the training, firefighters reviewed procedures for performing CPR with one, two, and three rescuers. They then demonstrated proper CPR techniques and the use of an AED in various rescue scenarios using adult, child, and infant mannequins.
The training placed significant emphasis on providing first aid to bleeding patients using "Stop the Bleed" kits, addressing allergic reactions and opioid overdoses, managing different trauma situations, and ensuring airways remain open.
After successfully completing practical demonstrations, all firefighters passed a written examination to confirm their knowledge of CPR, AED use, and First Aid procedures.
Cherryhill firefighters who completed the recertification are Bill Cochran, John Rainey, Jody Rainey, Isaac Foreback, Jr. Sabo, Bre Dixon, Tom Crusan, Cassi Newman, Konstance Smeltzer, Allie Ringler, Jason Geneva, Nathan Rainey, Paige Smith, and Julian Shultz. The instructor was Cherryhill QRS-EMT Jim Sadler. |
