| The Cherryhill Township Fire Company is sharing a press release from Senator Joe Pittman announcing funding for several projects in the 41st Pennsylvania Senate District through the Local Share Account (LSA).
Cherryhill Township Volunteer Fire Company will receive $106,187 in LSA funds to purchase a new brush truck. The new vehicle will be equipped with a crew cab pickup chassis, a utility-box style rear body, lights, and a brush fire skid. This brush truck will replace current vehicles that are not designed for off-road use or the conditions encountered during grass and woodland fires.
Fire Chief Jody Rainey stated, “This award will enable the fire company to have a vehicle specifically designed to efficiently and safely address grass and woodland fires in Cherryhill Township and neighboring communities.” The fire company currently relies on a first line engine and pickup truck, which are not suited for off-road operations required during land fires.
Cherryhill Fire thanks the Cherryhill Township Board of Supervisors for their teamwork in submitting the grant request, as well as Senator Joe Pittman and Representative Jim Struzzi for their ongoing support and advocacy for this project. |
